Founded in 1982 by Carole Roussopoulos, Delphine Seyrig and Ioana Wieder,
the Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Centre
is an archive of audiovisual documents
on the rights,
struggles,
art and creativity of women.
The Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Centre
also films and keeps a record of events related
to women and feminism. This audiovisual heritage
is part of the objective shared with the women’s
movement to record and remember the role
women play in the world and their achievements.
