The films and videos of the SdB audiovisual center are unique in both form and content as archives and make up an essential swathe of feminist 1960-2000 audiovisual material that the 21st century is increasing.

Our collections include more than 1300 video and film titles.

Our online data base provides rapid search functions for choosing films by key words, director, country, length.

More than 250 films and videos are available for rental, sale and/or DVD sale. .

Dues for the documentation center run for one year. They provide viewing of the archives an access to documentation in print.

DISTRIBUTION

Rental
Rentals are for public or private non-commercial distribution.
Rates vary according to the length of the film
All rentals are billed.

Requests must be made two weeks before the projection date.
Requests must be sent by email to the Simone de Beauvoir Audio-Visual Center and must include the requester’s complete address and information as well as the address to which it should be sent.

Sales
This provision makes it possible for cultural, educational or associative structures (museums, art centers, universities, adult education centers, etc.) to acquire copies with “film rights” (i.e. until the film wears out) from the Center’s catalogue.
This acquisition makes individual consultation and non-commercial public distribution possible within the organization.

A contract must be drawn up for the acquisition of copies between the requester and the Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Center guaranteeing the author’s moral and property rights and setting out the conditions of representation of the works.

Non-commercial rights
This provision enables cultural, educational or associative structures (museums, art centers, universities, adult education centers, etc.) to temporarily acquire non-exclusive rights to a work for individual consultation and public diffusion.

A contract must be drawn up for all rights between the requester and the Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Center guaranteeing the author’s moral and property rights and setting out the conditions of representation of the works.

Commercial Rights
This provision enables local, national and foreign television channels to temporarily acquire non-exclusive rights for a work for its television broadcasting.

A contract must be drawn up for all rights between the requester and the Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Center guaranteeing the author’s moral and property rights and setting out the conditions of television broadcasting.
